Basics About Dashboard
Hana Dashboard is a centralized place to manage Hana and your account and team/org.
- You can manage Hana's memories - Most important
- You can manage billing and change plan - Most important
- You can manage users
- You can add restrictions on Hana's use and behaviour
- You can see usage analytics
We are striving hard to add more features to Hana soon. A lot is planned and is underway. Stay tuned!
User Roles

Types of Accounts in Hana System
There are 2 types of account in Hana system:
Organization Account
- If you have signed in with a custom domain such as hanabitech.com, we will auto-assign your account as an organization account
- This is more for teams and organizations
- If more users sign up to Hana using the same custom domain as yours such as hanabitech.com, they will automatically be added to your organization account and will be able to share your memories and context
Individual Account
- If you have signed in with gmail.com or googlemail.com domains, we will auto-assign your account as an individual account
- Individual account is more for personal use
- You are the sole member in this account and have all admin privileges
- You can manage your billing, data and delete your account too
- This account is not ideal for team collaboration
- You cannot add more users to this account at the moment
But this does not mean that gmail.com or googlemail.com users cannot use Hana in a collaborative environment. You can still create a Google Chat Space, add all your friends, and use Hana in that space with your individual account. If others also use Hana in this scenario, they will simply use it through their own individual account. Your billing will be separate and data will be separate.
Limitations of Hana Account System
- We understand that this auto-assignment to an org account or auto-assignment to an individual account has its issues, such as:
- In large orgs there are multiple isolated teams
- Technically these teams should have isolated data
- Several students use an institutional domain but they are not technically employees and still individuals
- In large orgs there are multiple isolated teams
To address these issues, we are shortly adding a teams construct in Hana where people can join teams and new onboarded users will be auto-assigned to a new team where they are solo members but can add more people. This will make Hana scalable for large orgs and fit for students.
