General Memory
Previously, there was a 2000 character limit for each text memory entry. This restriction has now been removed, allowing you to add unlimited text in a single memory. You can freely input as much information as needed to ensure comprehensive and detailed entries.
Overview
The General Memory section in the Hana Control Dashboard allows you to manage text based memories which creates high-quality personalized responses from Hana. This guide explains how to create, manage, and maintain text memories.
Accessing General Memory
- Navigate to the Memory section from the left sidebar.
- Click on the General Memory tab to view all general memories.

Fill out the details, including the information Hana needs to remember.

-
The memory will initially have the ingestion status IN_PROGRESS, which updates to INGESTED once the processing is complete.
-
Alternatively, you can create a memory directly from the workspace by using the /memory command. This provides a quick way to add important information without leaving your workspace.
Editing or Deleting Text Memory Entries
-
Locate the entry in the memory list.
-
Use the corresponding Edit or Delete option for that entry.
-
Editing allows you to update the content, while deleting removes the entry from Hana's memory.
