This command is useful for scheduling messages to be sent at a later time. It's like setting a reminder for your messages. You can compose a message now and specify a future time for it to be sent, ensuring that important information is communicated at the right moment without you having to remember to send it manually.

How to use

  1. Initiate the Command: In your Google Chat, type /deferMessage to start scheduling a message to be sent at a later time. This command allows you to plan communication in advance and ensure messages are sent at the right moment.
  2. Compose Your Message: Write the content of the message you want to schedule. Specify the exact time and date you want the message to be sent.

Example:

reminder
/deferMessage "Reminder: Submit your timesheets by 5 PM today." at 4 PM today
  1. Schedule the Message: Once you have composed your message and specified the time, it will be scheduled to be sent automatically at the designated time.

Example

reminder
/deferMessage "Reminder: Project deadline is tomorrow at 5 PM." at 9 AM tomorrow

This will schedule the message to be sent at 9 AM the next day.
